Latest (11.27) Production and Market Situation of Cassava and Starch in Vietnam

Last week, first of all, in terms of production, as of November 26th, there were about 103 starch factories in operation (week on week+4), and starch production continued to increase significantly week on week. The supply of raw materials has maintained an increasing trend compared to the previous week, and potato prices have fluctuated and stabilized; At present, the average production time per week in starch factories is 6.3 days (+0.1 days compared to last week); The purchase prices for fresh potato raw materials are as follows: 2750-2850 VND/kg in the southern region (30% off flour content compared to last week's -0 VND/KG for local potatoes), 2550-2650 VND/kg in the central region (30% off flour content compared to last week's -0 VND/KG), and 2200-2300 VND/kg in the northern region (-50 VND/KG off flour content compared to last week's -50 VND/KG for raw potatoes). Secondly, in terms of the market, influenced by factors such as stable and fluctuating raw material prices and continuous increase in starch production, the export market of cassava starch in Vietnam has maintained a fluctuating downward trend, with prices still reporting a moderate decline. The latest quotes for mainstream brands are (Qingdao Port CIF): low-end products 395-405 (-10), ordinary products 410-420 (-10), and high-quality products 420-430 (-10) (USD/ton).
