据泰国商业部国际贸易谈判厅网站5月4日消息称，泰国商业部副部长阿隆功透露，从2010年1月1日启动了东盟自由贸易协议以来，1-3月泰国与其他九个成员国的贸易额达176.3亿美元，同比增长52%，其中泰出口105.2亿美元，增长67.3%，进口71.1亿美元，增长33.88%，泰方顺差34亿美元。
目前东盟成为泰国第一大出口市场，出口比重占23.7%，尤其1-3月份超过传统出口市场，如泰出口欧盟比重仅11.7%，日本10.3%，美国10%.
泰国向东盟出口商品主要有食糖，增长340.57%，木薯产品增长272.2%，大米191.3%，成品油114%，汽车及零配件106.6%，东盟的主要市场有马来西亚，增长23.6%，新加坡，增长19.9%，印尼，增长18.2%，越南，增长12.1%。
东盟是泰国进口来源国第二位，比重占16.8%，仅次于日本。进口的主要商品有资本品、用于加工出口的半成品和原材料。
