记者从有关部门了解到，为进一步贯彻落实《中华人民共和国水污染防治法》、《中华人民共和国大气污染防治法》有关精神，确保武鸣“十一五”环保目标化学需氧量(COD)、二氧化硫削减任务的完成，切实解决群众关心的淀粉、酒精企业废水污染、恶臭污染等问题，推进“城乡清洁工程”深入开展，改善武鸣环境质量，促进经济、社会、生态协调发展。从现在起，武鸣县将采取经济手段、法律手段与行政手段相结合的措施，利用两年时间，进行以查处淀粉、酒精企业环境污染为重点，全面治理废水污染源的淀粉、酒精企业环保专项整治活动，确保完成南宁市政府下达的“十一五”环保目标化学需氧量(COD)、二氧化硫削减任务。
