蒙山县在龙头企业的辐射带动下，产业化、优质化地发展木薯种植业，实现了企业和农户的共赢。今年全县9万亩优质木薯开始收挖进厂，有望给种植户带来2000万元以—卜的收入。
下半年以来，广西百事达淀粉有限公司针对上榨季出现的问题，有的放矢地狠抓生产设备的检修和技改，投入资金新采购了—批设备替换旧设备，并对鲜木薯加工最重要的粉碎机进行了重点改造，减少故障提高效率，把鲜木薯的日加工能力提高到1200吨。同时建成四个大池来浸泡储存淀粉浆，尽力避免因后工序设备原因而影响木薯收购的进度。目前该公司原粉车间主体技改下作已完成，经过试机检测进入了开榨阶段。通过技改公司年产原淀粉将达3万吨，变性淀粉可达6万吨。
