为了帮助受灾农民恢复生产，广西中粮公司购买5000吨木薯种苗，在全区受灾严重的木薯主产区免费发放。近日，首批100吨木薯种苗已经发放到了农民手中。
今年初的雨雪冰冻灾害给广西农业生产带来严重的损失，特别是木薯种苗长期受冻，芽眼坏死，造成全区木薯种植大量缺种，而从广东、海南购买的木薯种苗价格已经高达每公斤1.6元，更是加重了农民的负担。为了帮助受灾农民灾后恢复生产，广西中粮公司在农业部门的帮助下，从海南儋州紧急调运了一批木薯种苗到区内受灾严重，缺乏木薯种苗的主产区，免费发放给农民。
目前，首批100吨木薯种苗已经从海南运抵北海，重点支援北海、南宁、梧州等受灾比较严重的地区。
