国家农业部在日前发布的2006年3月糖料市场监测信息中表示，预计2006年淀粉糖产量达到520万吨，将替代食糖消费量50万吨左右，而糖精产量1月份同比有所下降。
据统计，截止到2006年1月末，全国五家定点企业累计生产糖精1450.72吨，同比减少10.47%。目前淀粉糖甜度和生产成本相对较低，属于国家鼓励发展的行业，其产能正不断扩大，低价淀粉糖产量不断增加。从后期看，如果食糖继续维持高价位，淀粉糖的市场份额将增加，预计2006年淀粉糖产量达到520万吨，将替代食糖消费量50万吨左右。
